Republican Party of Armenia unveils its proportional list for May 6 polls

The ruling Republican Party of Armenia unveiled on Sunday its proportional list for May 6 parliamentary elections.

YEREVAN, March 19. /ARKA/. The ruling Republican Party of Armenia unveiled on Sunday its proportional list for May 6 parliamentary elections. A parliament vice speaker Edward Sharmazanov said the list topped by President Serzh Sargsyan, has 250 people, including leaders of some other minor political parties.
The first top twenty of the list includes:
1.Serzh Sargsyan (president).
2. Hovik Abrahamyan (former parliament speaker, chief manager of the party’s election campaign).
3. Tigran Sargsyan (prime minister).
4. Taron Margaryan (mayor of Yerevan).
5. Samvel Nikoyan (parliament speaker).
6. Hranush Hakobyan (minister of Diaspora).
7. Galust Sahakyan (head of the party’s parliamentary faction).
8. Razmik Zohrabyan (deputy party chairman).
9. Gagik Minasyan (head of the parliamentary committee on financial and budgetary affairs).
10. Gagik Beglaryan (ex-mayor of Yerevan).
11. Hermine Naghdalyan (MP).
12. Armen Ashotyan (minister of education and science).
13. David Harutyunyan (head of the parliamentary committee on legal affairs).
14. Eduard Sharmazanov (deputy parliament speaker).
15. Manvel Grigoryan (former deputy minister of defense).
16. Shushan Petrosyan (singer).
17. Artashes Geghamyan (head of the National Unity party).
18. Khosrow Harutyunyan (head of the Christian Democratic Party).
19. Haik Babukhanyan (head of the Constitutional Right Union party).
20. Ara Babloyan (head of the parliamentary committee on health issues).
The Republican Party of Armenia was registered in 1991. Its chairman is president Serzh Sargsyan. The party has 65 seats in the parliament. The speaker of the National Assembly, the prime minister and the majority of government ministers are also members of the ruling party.-0-
