YEREVAN, March 20. /ARKA/. The Russian Federation is ready to assist Armenia and Azerbaijan in negotiating the parameters of the peace treaty, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said today at a meeting with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan in Moscow.

"We are ready, as written in the trilateral (Armenian-Azerbaijani-Russian) statements, to provide all possible assistance to the unblocking of transport communications, delimitation of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, and negotiating the peace treaty parameters," he said. Lavrov noted that during the talks considerable attention will be paid to regional security issues.

"One of the priority tasks is to resolve the situation around the Lachin corridor (blocked by Azerbaijan since December 12 last year) and, in general, around Nagorno-Karabakh," he said.

According to Lavrov, there is no doubt that the trilateral statements of the leaders of Armenia, Azerbaijan and Russia are key to the implementation of all decisions to stabilize the situation in the economic, military-political and international legal spheres. -0-
