Sargsyan off to Astana for EEU summit

Today, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan has left on a working visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan to participate in the session of the Supreme Council of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) in Astana, Sargsyan’s press office reported.
YEREVAN, May 31. /ARKA/. Today, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan has left on a working visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan to participate in the session of the Supreme Council of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) in Astana, Sargsyan’s press office reported.
It said the gathering is to be attended by the presidents of Kazakhstan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan and Russia.
The gathering will discuss development of trade between the EEU and other countries, including China, Serbia, the European Union, as well as members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and South-East Asian countries.
Other issues on the agenda are development of common energy markets, electricity, and finance. The presidents are expected to sign more than 50 documents, including the new Customs Code of the EEU. -0-
