Sasna Tsrer group tells how Pavel Manukyan was wounded

Sasna Tsrer, the group of armed men who seized the police regiment territory in Yerevan on July 17, told on their Facebook page what happened this night in the territory referring to Armenak Kyureghyan, the father of Kyureghyan brothers, members of Sasna Tsrer.
YEREVAN, July 27. /ARKA/. Sasna Tsrer, the group of armed men who seized the police regiment territory in Yerevan on July 17, told on their Facebook page what happened this night in the territory referring to Armenak Kyureghyan, the father of Kyureghyan brothers, members of Sasna Tsrer.
It has become known from their post that, contrary to the police’s report, the police didn’t attack the territory.
They just fired at Pavel Manukyan’s leg when he, in accordance with the arrangement made with the police, came close to them to hand one wounded insurgent over to them.
His son, Aram, ran toward his father and was wounded as well in his leg.
Two other members of the group were caught as they rush toward their wounded friends with stretchers.
Earlier, the police issued a report saying that the Manukyans were wounded in a shoot-out and that two other insurgents surrendered.
Sasna Tsrer rebels also say that there are their two friends with light wounds in the seized territory and they are receiving medical care on the site.
“They are in combative mood,” the statement says.
Sasna Tsrer stormed the police regiment territory on July 17 and took some officers hostage, demanding the release of Zhirayr Sefilian, the jailed opposition leader of Founding Parliament movement, and the resignation of the president.
According to the police, one police officer had been killed and five others and one attacker wounded in the assault.
Hundreds of people gathered outside the territory to bar the law enforcement units from storming the building and to prevent а bloody outcome.
The police units cleaned up the territory of demonstrators Wednesday night and detained dozens of people.
As many as 51 people injured in the clashes, including 28 policemen, received medical services that night. On the next day people gathered again.
All the hostages have gradually been released by the rebels.
On Monday and Tuesday, thousands of people in Yerevan took to the streets and marched demanding the release of Zhirair Sefilian and the resignation of the president.
