Senite of Kazakhstan ratifies Armenia’s EEU membership

The Senate (upper house) of the Kazakhstan parliament passed on Friday the bill about ratification of the agreement on Armenia’s accession to the Eurasian Economic Union, RIA Novosti reports referring to Novosti-Kazakhstan.

YEREVAN, December 19. /ARKA/. The Senate (upper house) of the Kazakhstan parliament passed on Friday the bill about ratification of the agreement on Armenia’s accession to the Eurasian Economic Union, RIA Novosti reports referring to Novosti-Kazakhstan.
As from the date of enforcement of the EEU treaty Armenia becomes a full-fledged member of the Union and undertakes the responsibilities under the EEU treaty, says the conclusion of the respective parliament committee.
According to the national economy ministry of Kazakhstan, the country’s turnover with Armenia is currently 7.7 million dollars. Armenia’s accession to the EEU opens up opportunities for Kazakhstan to expand cooperation with Armenia in metallurgy, agriculture and construction in particular. –0--
