Shushan Stepanyan appointed as new press secretary for Armenian defense ministry

Armenian Defense Minister David Tonoyan signed a decree on March 12 appointing Major Shushan Stepanyan as the new press secretary of the ministry.

YEREVAN, March 13. /ARKA/. Armenian Defense Minister David Tonoyan signed a decree on March 12 appointing Major Shushan Stepanyan as the new press secretary of the ministry. She replaces Artsrun Hovhanisyan who resigned earlier this week.
Shushan Stepanyan was born in 1988 in Nagorno-Karabakh. In 2005-2009, she studied at the Faculty of Journalism at Yerevan State University. In 2007-2009, she worked for the online journal Hetq as an investigative journalist.
She worked also as a correspondent for the newspaper Haizinvor of the Ministry of Defense, and since 2018 as a correspondent for the Zinuzh-Media state institution.
In 2009, she won a training course of investigative journalists organized by the European Center for Journalism in the Netherlands. In 2014, she studied at the German Academy of Information and Communication.
She was awarded several medals of the armed forces of Armenia. –0-
