YEREVAN, August 5. /ARKA/. The situation along the line of contact in Nagorno-Karabakh is relatively stable after the August 3 clashes provoked by Azerbaijan, the Nagorno-Karabakh defense ministry said today.

"Tensions are still high. Azerbaijani units violated the ceasefire in some sections of the line of contact with the use of firearms. There were no casualties on the Armenian side," the ministry said in a statement.

It said that some of the previously wounded servicemen were discharged from medical institutions. The condition of 3 wounded servicemen is still grave, the condition of another one is extremely grave with some positive dynamics, it added.

It said also that Russian peacekeeping forces' command is working together with local authorities to further stabilize the situation continues.

Two Karabakh Armenian soldiers were killed and 19 others wounded in fighting with Azerbaijani forces on August 3.

Speaking at government session on Thursday, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan

accused Azerbaijan of breaching the Russian-brokered ceasefire agreement that stopped the Armenian-Azerbaijani war over Nagorno-Karabakh in November 2020 and also called for adjusting the details of the Russian peacekeeping operation and specifying their mandate.-0-
