YEREVAN, February 27. /ARKA/. The decision of Nikol Pashinyan, leader of Civil Contract Party, which is a part of YELQ bloc, to hold rallies on Yerevan’s Freedom Square, aroused a mixed reaction among his political teammates and colleagues, Hraparak reported on Tuesday.
According to the media resource, there are some persons in his political environment who are trying to deter him from doing that. More than that – they are warning him against getting jailed again, but he is “ready to go to jail again”.
As for his fellow bloc members, they have no a common opinion.
While Nikol Pashinyan’s fellow partisans hail his idea to take to the streets, Edmon Marukyan and Aram Sargsyan’s parties, which are also a part of opposition YELQ bloc, supports the idea of more institutional struggle.
Hraparak says if the discord deepens, Marukyan’s party may quit the bloc, and the two remaining parties may unite into one party then. -0---
