YEREVAN, June 7. /ARKA/. The head of Armenia’s State Revenue Committee (SRC) David Ananyan denied today media allegations about his imminent resignation. Rumors that he will either resign or will be sacked by the prime minister have been rife since his appointment.
“I can assure you of one thing. I will never lose my profession. It doesn’t matter if I’m in public service or not, I’ll be inseparable from this sector,” said Ananyan.
He also commented on the news reports about the resignation of his brother, who held a position in the ministry of finance, because of alleged disagreements between him and the minister Atom Janjughazyan. Ananyan said there were no disagreements between his brother and the minister.
“The struggle between the State Revenue Committee and the Ministry of Finance is commonplace, and it is normal. But personally, we have no communication problems; we enjoy a friendly and partner atmosphere. My brother has not lost his job, he is not the person who loses something, he will have a more decent job," said Ananyan.
On June 7, the acting head of the Supreme Judicial Council Gevorg Danielyan and Minister of Justice Artak Zeynalyan announced their resignations. -0-
