YEREVAN, July 11. /ARKA/. The United States of America supports efforts to promote peace and stability in the South Caucasus, State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce said at a press briefing, speaking about yesterday's meeting of the heads of Armenia and Azerbaijan in Abu Dhabi.

She said the USA is monitoring the media reports in general and does not have any additional information.

'But, as you know, the approach of the Trump administration and Secretary of State Rubio speaks for itself, and his statement at a recent cabinet meeting implies that the administration is working for the benefit of peace," Bruce said.

She stressed that the current Trump administration "will do what they need to do and will go where they need to go."

"This position does not weaken. Because it is the basis of the desire to make America great again, which, of course, improves the conditions of the world around us," Bruce noted.

At a meeting in Abu Dhabi on July 10, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev agreed to continue bilateral negotiations and confidence-building measures between the two countries.

They noted the progress in the border delimitation process and instructed the relevant state commissions to continue practical work in this direction, the Armenian Foreign Ministry said.-0-
