YEREVAN, November 4. /ARKA/. The strategic partnership document signed between Armenia and China marks a new level of relations between the two countries, stated Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
He called his visit to China (August 30 to September 3, 2025) significant.
"I consider it a great honor to sign this document with Chinese President Xi Jinping. It contains references to Armenia's 'Crossroads of Peace' project and China's 'One Belt, One Road' initiative. It is clear that there are similarities in terms of content between these projects," Pashinyan noted, answering questions at the Orbeli Forum titled "Establishing Peace and Multilateral Cooperation" on Tuesday.
The Prime Minister added that there are certain common aspects with other projects, such as the Middle Corridor.
"This is good for us. This, in particular, means that the 'Crossroads of Peace' project and TRIPP (Trump Route) are a point where the content developed in various countries can be compared, and this is taking place in practice. We just need to be professional, consistent, and patient," Pashinyan said.
Earlier, at a meeting with the Chinese leader, Pashinyan stated that Armenia's "Crossroads of Peace" regional communications project could be best aligned with China's "One Belt, One Road" initiative, which Armenia was one of the first to officially join.
In turn, Xi Jinping also emphasized China's support for the Armenian government's "Crossroads of Peace" project and the unblocking of regional communications, and welcomed the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
