YEREVAN, April 9. /ARKA/. Armenian-Czech relations have untapped  potential for development, Armenian Defense Minister David Tonoyan said after he and his Czech counterpart Lubomir Metnar signed a program of cooperation between the two countries in the military area for 2019.

"The document regulates the areas of bilateral interest, the format of the partnership and the regulations. It opens up new prospects for military-technical and military-industrial cooperation," Tonoyan said at a joint briefing on Tuesday after meeting his Czech counterpart.

According to the minister, bilateral cooperation is developing in such areas as peacekeeping operations, military police, military and political dialogue and information exchange.  Tonoyan said  a wide range of bilateral relations was discussed with the Czech colleague.

"We noted the high level of political relations and common approaches to regional and international issues," he said. -0-
