YEREVAN, August 9. /ARKA/. "Trump's Route for International Peace and Prosperity" (TRIPP) will open strategic economic opportunities in the region, said Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

"TRIPP will open strategic economic opportunities that will bring long-term benefits, promote infrastructure investments, stimulate regional connectivity and strengthen the US leadership as a key actor in conflict resolution," he said at a trilateral meeting with US President Donald Trump and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev at the White House on Friday.

Stressing the importance of the Agreement on opening transport communications in the region based on the principles of sovereignty, territorial integrity and jurisdiction, Pashinyan said that he was especially glad that Armenia, together with the United States, will work to implement the TRIPP project, which will unblock the entire region.

The Armenian Prime Minister expressed gratitude to Trump and his team for their mediation efforts in normalizing relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

"This is a major deal that we have made today, it is a success for our countries and the region, it is a success for the world, because a more peaceful region means a safer world. In one sentence - the power that brings peace," he said.

Addressing Trump, Pashinyan said that today's great achievement once again testifies to his global leadership and his historical role as a statesman and peacemaker on the world stage.

"Vision, political courage and determination are needed to establish peace. And most importantly, it requires faith in your actions," he added.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, US President Donald Trump and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed the Trump Roadmap for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) Declaration in Washington on August 8. Trump signed as a witness, and Pashinyan and Aliyev confirmed their desire for peace, prosperity and stability with their signatures.
