YEREVAN, November 11. /ARKA/. US President Donald Trump stated that the so-called "Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity" (TRIPP), which passes through Armenia, is part of a historic agreement designed to strengthen stability and cooperation in Eurasia.
"As I said then, this historic agreement includes the construction of a new Trump Route—it's such a wonderful thing. They named it after me. I appreciate that very much. This is truly a great thing—a new 'Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity,'" Trump said during a meeting with Central Asian leaders at the White House, the transcript of which was published by Roll Call.
According to the American leader, the United States also seeks to "end another conflict—between Russia and Ukraine," and "significant progress has been made in this direction."
It was previously reported that the project, known informally as TRIPP, envisions the creation of a new transport and infrastructure corridor passing through Armenia and linking the South Caucasus with Central Asia. Experts view the initiative as part of US efforts to strengthen ties and ensure sustainable peace in the region.
