Two Armenian policemen have been wounded in a shelling by Azerbaijani troops, Shushan Stepanyan, the press secretary of the Armenian ministry of defense, reported Monday morning.

"Two police officers who were on combat duty at the border, as a result of weapons used by the enemy, were slightly injured near the security post," she wrote on her Facebook page.
According to the Ministry of Defense of Armenia, on Sunday morning, July 12, Azerbaijani troops twice took aggressive actions against Armenia, trying to violate the state border of Armenia in the Tavush region and capture a strong point. As a result, they suffered losses. Toward evening, the Azerbaijani side resumed artillery shelling in the same direction from a 82-mm mortar and a tank. At least three casualties were reported on the Azerbaijani side.
