YEREVAN, October 17. /ARKA/. Armenian-American cooperation in the defense area is developing - this was stated at a meeting between the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Edward Asryan and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the United States Armed Forces, General Charles Brown.

The two sides discussed topics of mutual interest. "The American side noted that they will continue to support the process of transformation and reform of the Armenian Armed Forces," the press service of the Armenian Ministry of Defense reported.

The importance of continuing joint activities and a number of issues on regional security were also touched upon during the meeting. -0-
