YEREVAN, April 22. /ARKA/. US Ambassador to Armenia Kristina Kvien held a meeting on Tuesday with representatives from Westinghouse to explore the future of Armenia's nuclear energy sector, according to a report from the US Embassy.
The embassy highlighted, "American companies bring extensive experience and innovative technologies that could play a crucial role in securing Armenia’s energy future, benefiting both the United States and Armenia."

About the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant

It is a key electricity source for the country, contributing up to 40% of the total power output. The plant's operational life has been extended until 2026, with ongoing efforts to further extend it for an additional ten years.
