The embassy highlighted, "American companies bring extensive experience and innovative technologies that could play a crucial role in securing Armenia’s energy future, benefiting both the United States and Armenia."

The plant's operational life has been extended until 2026, with ongoing efforts to further extend it for an additional ten years.
