19.10.2012, 12:07
The present volume of trade turnover between Armenia and the USA is not sufficient, Eric Rubin, Deputy Assistant Secretary in the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs at the Department of State, said Thursday.
YEREVAN, October 19. /ARKA/. The present volume of trade turnover between Armenia and the USA is not sufficient, Eric Rubin, Deputy Assistant Secretary in the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs at the Department of State, said Thursday.

I agree with my Armenian colleagues that the trade turnover, as well as American investments inflow to Armenia are insufficient, and we must activate them, Mr Rubin said at Armenian-American working economic group meeting, held in Yerevan, Thursday.

According to him, the work of Armenian-American working group is a vivid example of long-lasting and sustainable ties between the two countries.
This year the U.S. focused on stimulating trade and investments, as well as expanding energy cooperation, Mr Rubin added.

Earlier, U.S. Ambassador John Heffern informed that the annual trade turnover between Armenia and the USA is just $200-250 million. —0-
