Vahan Hunanyan appointed press secretary of Armenian Foreign Ministry
YEREVAN, August 4. /ARKA/. Armenia’s Acting Foreign Minister Armen Grigoryan has appointed today Vahan Hunanyan as press secretary of the Foreign Ministry.
Vahan Hunanyan was born in 1986 in Yerevan. In 2008 he graduated from the Faculty of Physics at Yerevan State University (YSU); in 2011-2013 he studied at the YSU Center for European Studies, receiving Master’s degree, in 2011-2012 he studied at the Diplomatic School of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In 2019 he received the Krzysztof Skubyszewski Research Scholarship (Warsaw).
In 2012-2013 he served as an attaché at the press and information department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; in 2013-2017 as attaché at the Armenian Embassy in Turkmenistan, then as third secretary; in 2017 he served as third secretary of the press and information department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In 2018-2020 he served as press secretary of the Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan; in 2020-2021 as advisor to the Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan.
Hunanyan has replaced Anna Naghdalyan who resigned on May 31. -0-
