YEREVAN, June 18, /ARKA/. By a vote of 122 to 22 Armenia’s National Assembly has elected today Vahe Grigoryan as a new member of the Constitutional Court.
"The Constitutional Court is the most criticized judicial body in Armenia. Further criticism is the most useless exercise, especially if there is no concrete action plan to increase public confidence in the Constitutional Court," Grigoryan said during a parliamentary confirmation hearing.
Grigoryan admitted to having friends in the ruling My Step faction of Prime Minister Pashinyan.
"I have friends in various political parties and political alliances. There is nothing strange in this," said Grigoryan. -0-
