We need an immediate ceasefire and negotiations leading to a comprehensive settlement, the OSCE Minsk Group US co-chairman James Warlick tweeted on April 5 on the way to Baku.

YEREVAN, April 6, /ARKA/. We need an immediate ceasefire and negotiations leading to a comprehensive settlement, the OSCE Minsk Group US co-chairman James Warlick tweeted on April 5 on the way to Baku.
The co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group James Warlick (US), Igor Popov (Russia), Pierre Andrieu (France) and OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Personal Representative Andrzej Kasprzyk have arrived in Baku from where they will travel to Yerevan and Karabakh capital Stepanakert, to discuss the latest upsurge of violence on the line of contact, how to end the confrontation and shift to the political phase of the conflict settlement.
The situation on the frontline aggravated on April 2 after the Azerbaijani military units used tanks, missile systems and other military hardware to attack the positions of the defense army of the Nagorno-Karabakh. Azerbaijan and Armenia have agreed to cease operations on the line of contact starting from 12.00, April 5.
According to the official data of the Karabakh defense ministry, Armenian forces destroyed 2 helicopters, 24 tanks, 3 infantry fighting vehicles, one Grad multiple rocket system and 6 drones having killed also 300 soldiers of the enemy.
According to Nagorno-Karabakh defense ministry, 29 Armenian servicemen had been killed in action and 28 others gone missing since the start of the hostilities on April 2. As many as 101 Armenian servicemen were wounded in the clashes. The Armenian side lost also 14 tanks. -0-
