YEREVAN, January 15. /ARKA/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan responded at a press briefing to US President Donald Trump's decision to impose a 25% tariff on goods from Iran's partner countries.
"Armenia will review the decision to impose a 25% tariff on all countries doing business with Iran and, if necessary, will begin consultations with all relevant partners," Pashinyan said.
On January 12, US President Donald Trump announced the imposition of 25% tariffs on all countries doing business with Iran.
According to Armstat, trade turnover between Armenia and Iran amounted to $636.2 million in the first 10 months of 2025, an increase of 7.3% compared to the same period in 2024. Armenian exports to Iran decreased by 14% to almost $77.5 million, while imports increased by 11.1% to $558.75 million.-0-
