Yerevan and Astana discuss format of bilateral inter-parliamentary commission

YEREVAN, May 14. /ARKA/. The Chairman of the National Assembly of Armenia Alen Simonyan, who is on an official visit to Kazakhstan, at a meeting with his Kazakh counterpart Yerlan Koshanov raised the issue of expanding cooperation between the legislative bodies of the two countries, the press service of the National Assembly of Armenia reports.

Simonyan proposed considering the format of a bilateral inter-parliamentary commission and emphasized that Armenia highly values partnership relations with Kazakhstan and is ready to make efforts to further deepen them. He also drew Koshanov's attention to the problem of prisoners in Azerbaijan.

At the end of the meeting, the Chairman of the Armenian Parliament invited Koshanov to pay an official visit to Armenia.-0-
