Yerevan welcomes Aliyev's announcement to lift restrictions on cargo transit to Armenia through Azerbaijani territory

YEREVAN, October 21. /ARКА/. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev announced the lifting of all restrictions on cargo transit to Armenia through its territory, Russian state-run news agency TASS reported from Aliyev's meeting with Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in Astana.
Yerevan welcomed the announcement.
"This step is important for opening regional communications, strengthening mutual trust, and institutionalizing the peace established between Armenia and Azerbaijan in accordance with the agreements reached in Washington," wrote Nazeli Baghdasaryan, the Armenian prime minister's spokesperson, on Facebook.
Following the meeting held in Washington on August 8, which involved Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, US President Donald Trump, and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, the leaders of the three nations endorsed a seven-point declaration.
This document specifically states that the foreign ministers of the involved parties have initialed the agreed text of the Agreement on the Establishment of Peace and Interstate Relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
It also includes the signing of a statement by the foreign ministers of both nations regarding the termination of the OSCE Minsk Process and its associated structures. Furthermore, it outlines efforts to facilitate uninterrupted communication between Azerbaijan and Nakhchivan via Armenian territory, while respecting the sovereignty, territorial integrity, and jurisdiction of the states involved. Additionally, it emphasizes Armenia's collaboration with the United States and other nations to establish the framework for the execution of the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) project in Armenia.
On August 11, the Armenian Foreign Ministry released the text of the initialed agreement, which comprises 17 chapters.-0-
