Yerevan interested in interparliamentary cooperation within Customs Union

Yerevan is interested in development of interparliamentary cooperation in the framework of the Customs Union, says the message of Armenian speaker Hovik Abrahamyan addressed to participants of the joint meeting of Armenian parliament commission for external affairs and the CIS and Eurasian integration committee of the Russian Duma.

YEREVAN, November 18. /ARKA/. Yerevan is interested in development of interparliamentary cooperation in the framework of the Customs Union, says the message of Armenian speaker Hovik Abrahamyan addressed to participants of the joint meeting of Armenian parliament commission for external affairs and the CIS and Eurasian integration committee of the Russian Duma.
Armenia’s National Assembly is ready to cooperate and use the experience of the Russian colleagues, particularly in ratifying the agreements and making the required changes to the laws, Abrahamyan said.
Armenian speaker said Russia-Armenia parliamentary ties have advanced recently.
It is the first time the countries’ parliament commissions hold a joint meeting, Abrahamyan said. He expressed hope such meetings will be more often.
The joint meeting of the Armenian parliament commission for external affairs and the CIS and Eurasian integration committee of the Russian Duma was presided over by heads of the mentioned committees Artak Zakaryan and Leonid Slutskiy. –0--
