YEREVAN, September 13. /ARKA/. Armenia has received new peace proposals from Azerbaijan, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said in parliament today.

"After our recent contacts, the Armenian side had handed over to the Azerbaijani side the fifth version of the agreement on the normalization of relations. And just yesterday we received new proposals of the Azerbaijani side," he said.

Mirzoyan noted that discussions are underway, but emphasized that there are significant issues on which the positions of the sides are still far from each other.

Earlier, Armenian Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan admitted that the Armenian-Azerbaijani peace treaty may be signed before the end of the year.

According to him, the negotiations are being conducted very intensively; the Armenian side is determined to conclude the peace agreement as quickly as possible. -0-
