YEREVAN, August 14. /ARKA/. Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan refrained today at a joint news conference with his Uruguay counterpart Rodolfo Nin Novoa from commenting on Arayik Ghazaryan, 18, the Armenian serviceman who had been captured in Azerbaijan's territory.

Azerbaijan's media reported that the soldier has decided cross the border and defect to Azerbaijan because of brutal treatment in the army, the minister called on people not to believe the enemy's information propaganda.

"This is a quite sensitive matter, and the Artsakh foreign ministry has already released a statement saying that the Artsakh authorities are making efforts to get our war prisoner Ghazaryan back," Mnatsakanyan said. He found it reasonable to refrain from any statement, "taking into account the sensitivity of the matter".

A day earlier, Armenian Defense Minister Davit Tonoyan said at a briefing that Arayik Ghazaryan maybe lost his way. The incident, he said, is being investigated now.

The minister added that every step is being taken now to return the serviceman. In his words, the ministry asked international organizations, including the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), to help. -0---
