YEREVAN, December 1. /ARKA/. By the year's end, an additional 30 electronic public transport schedule boards will be added in Yerevan, complementing the six that are already operational. This announcement was made during a working meeting at City Hall on Monday.
The existing electronic schedule system offers passengers information about public transport via the Yandex and 2GIS platforms. Users can easily locate their desired route and check how many minutes are left until it arrives.
As part of the program's expansion, plans are in place to equip bus stops with electronic schedule boards. Currently, these boards are functioning in pilot mode at six stops, with an additional 36 devices set to be installed shortly. These have already been imported into the country.
During the meeting, it was revealed that residents of the city had lodged complaints regarding the system's performance through Yandex, and several discrepancies had been noted.
In response to a request from Mayor Tigran Avinyan, his deputy, Suren Grigoryan, confirmed that the necessary modifications have been implemented. "During discussions about the program, we identified an issue concerning the reliability of the information, and it has been addressed," the deputy mayor stated.-0-
