About 3,000 poor families in Yerevan to get free home appliances

Some 2,797 insecure families in the Armenian capital will be given household appliances as gifts by the Yerevan municipality as part of Erebuni-Yerevan-2797 festival that marks the city’s birthday annually.
YEREVAN, October 1. / ARKA /.Some 2,797 insecure families in the Armenian capital will be given household appliances as gifts by the Yerevan municipality as part of Erebuni-Yerevan-2797 festival that marks the city’s birthday annually. This year Armenia’s capital city Yerevan becomes 2,797 years old, deputy mayor Aram Sukiasyan said.
"The list of families includes socially vulnerable families, families of servicemen killed in military action, veterans of the Karabakh war, the disabled people and others. The program starts on October 1", said Sukiasyan at a press conference on Wednesday.
According to him, this program is carried out every year and each year it embraces different categories of beneficiaries.
Also the municipality will bus around 1,400 people to Nagorno-Karabakh and Armenia’s border villages to see their sons having their military service.
Aram Sukiasyan said this way around 6000 parents have already visited their sons having their military service in the Armenian armed forces. According to him, the trips will take place on October 17. -0-
