An armed man, who attacked today the Erebuni Plaza Hotel in downtown Yerevan, surrendered his weapons and according to the available information, no person suffered, Ashot Aharonyan, a spokesman for the Armenian Police, told reporters on Thursday.

YEREVAN, January 23. /ARKA/. An armed man, who attacked today the Erebuni Plaza Hotel in downtown Yerevan, surrendered his weapons and according to the available information, no person suffered, Ashot Aharonyan, a spokesman for the Armenian Police, told reporters on Thursday.
"The acting chief of police Arman Sargsyan was personally negotiating with the man. At the moment, I can say that the situation is stable and under the control," he said.
The Police said the man, accompanied by the acting police, was taken to a police station.
Aharonyan also said that, according to preliminary information, the attacker was alone. He said he would provide more details of the incident, including the motives of the attacker, after clarification of all circumstances. -0-
