In 2024 Armenia received about 1,500 tons of humanitarian aid worth 33.9 billion drams ($85.8 million), the National Statistical Committee reported.
YEREVAN, February 5. /ARKA/. In 2024 Armenia received about 1,500 tons of humanitarian aid worth 33.9 billion drams ($85.8 million), the National Statistical Committee reported.
In 2023, the country received a little over 1,000 tons of humanitarian aid worth 14.3 billion drams ($35.6 million).
The U.S. sent aid worth $44. 7 million, 5.5 times more that in 2023; Germany sent $8.3 million aid (3.9 times more) and France $3.8 million, 2.8 times more.
A large portion of the aid were plastics and rubber products (423.7 tons worth $516,600), land, air and water vehicles ($ 6.2 million) and textile products (168.2 tons worth $286,500). -0-
