YEREVAN, August 15. /ARKA/. On Thursday, the Armenian government approved the amounts of compensation to be paid for damage caused to agriculture by flooding in the Lori and Tavush regions in late spring.

Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan said that compensation in the amount of 100% of the cost is paid for registered livestock - for a bull - 650 thousand drams, a cow - 550 thousand drams, a calf - 110 thousand drams, a pig - 100 thousand drams, a sheep and a goat - 50 thousand drams, a lamb - 40 thousand drams.

For a horse - 350 thousand drams, a donkey - 80 thousand drams, a rabbit - 3 thousand drams, a chicken - 2 thousand 500 drams, a duck - 4 thousand drams, a goose - 5 thousand drams, a turkey - 7 thousand drams, a beehive - 60 thousand drams, a rainbow trout (1 piece) - 2 thousand 400 drams.

According to him, compensation will be provided in the amount of 50% of the cost of unregistered animals. In the case of land plots - 150 thousand drams, if there is a right of ownership, for example, for a fruit tree destroyed or lost as a result of a natural disaster the government will pay 8 thousand 500 drams, for a fruit tree damaged by a natural disaster - 1 thousand 500 drams, for planting material of fruit crops 300 drams per 1 sq. m., berry bushes - 450 drams per meter, grain and legumes - 350 thousand drams per hectare.

According to the preliminary damage assessment, 400 cattle and small ruminants were killed by the floding.

The Armenian government also approved the procedure for compensating damage to vehicles from floods.

Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Arpine Sargsyan said that 193 vehicles damaged as a result of the natural disaster have been registered so far.

The floods caused by heavy rains and the overflow of the Debed, Aghstev and Tashir rivers on May 25-26 resulted in the death of four people and the evacuation of more than 440 residents. The affected areas in Lori and Tavush have been declared disaster zones, and 300 million drams have been allocated for restoration work.-0-
