The passengers who travel from Yerevan to Batumi by “Armenia” train can now buy snacks and beverages at a new buffet car, South Caucasus Railways reported Wednesday.

YEREVAN, June 12./ARKA/. The passengers who travel from Yerevan to Batumi by “Armenia” train can now buy snacks and beverages at a new buffet car, South Caucasus Railways reported Wednesday.
The car is equipped with the necessary technology, and the service will be offered by a public food company.
“Taking into account the constantly growing passenger traffic on Yerevan-Batumi-Yerevan route, SCR is improving the customer service, and the new car is another step of the company towards this,” according to the source.
Yerevan-Batumi-Yerevan train operates from 15 June to 1 October. The train transported over 50,000 passengers last year.
South Caucasus Railways, a 100-percent subsidiary of Russian Railways, runs Armenian Railway. Armenian Railways was handed over to the South Caucasus Railways on February 13, 2008 for 30-year concession management with a right to prolong the management term for other 10 years. -0-
