Armenia participates in WHO’s regional gathering in Denmark

Samvel Grigoryan, the director of Armenia’s National AIDS Prevention Center, has traveled to Copenhagen, Denmark, to participate in the 66th session of the European Regional Committee of the World Health Organization (WHO).
YEREVAN, September 14. /ARKA/. Samvel Grigoryan, the director of Armenia’s National AIDS Prevention Center, has traveled to Copenhagen, Denmark, to participate in the 66th session of the European Regional Committee of the World Health Organization (WHO).
The Armenian ministry of health said the participants of the meeting are discussing a number of issues included on the agenda of Stable Development up to 2030, the implementation of Health 2020 policy in the WHO’s European Region, as well as further activities in the framework of this policy.
On the sidelines of this annual pan-European gathering the participants also discuss issues relating to the fight against non-communicable diseases in the European region and their prevention, as well as an action plan to fight AIDS and viral hepatitis.
The participants are expected to develop a strategy and a plan of actions to address the health problems of refugees and migrants as well as a program of actions to ensure sexual and reproductive health. -0-
