Armenia reports 52 fresh cases of coronavirus infection

Another 52 new cases of coronavirus infection have been reported in Armenia in the past day, bringing the total number of coronavirus cases to 822, the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention said in the latest update on the situation.

YEREVAN, April 5. /ARKA/. Another 52 new cases of coronavirus infection have been reported in Armenia in the past day, bringing the total number of coronavirus cases to 822, the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention said in the latest update on the situation.
According to the Center, so far 57 people have recovered and seven patients, all with pre-existing conditions, died. In all, some 3,844 coronavirus tests were negative.
Armenian health authorities have been repeatedly urging citizens to adhere to guidelines that they wash their hands frequently, stay home as much as possible, remain at least 1.5 meter away from others when leaving the house and avoid going out entirely if they are over the age of 65, feel sick or have underlying health conditions.
The government of Armenia introduced a 30-day state of emergency on March 16 in a bid to contain the spread of coronavirus. Later, it imposed restrictions on free movement of people and banned certain types of economic activity until April 12 inclusive. -0-
