The average gross salary in Armenia rose by 9.3% in the first four months of 2020 as opposed to the same time span of 2019, the National Statistical Committee (NSC) reported today.
YEREVAN, May 25. /ARKA/. The average gross salary in Armenia rose by 9.3% in the first four months of 2020 as opposed to the same time span of 2019, the National Statistical Committee (NSC) reported today.
It said during the reporting period, the average gross salary grew to 191 623 drams. In April 2020, compared with March 2020, the salary increased by 2.2%, and compared with April 2019, it increased by 9.8%.
The average gross salary in the public sector increased more than in the private, although it could not overtake it in absolute numbers.
So, in January-April 2020, compared with the same period in 2019, the average gross salary in the public sector increased by 9.1% to 162,482 drams. In April, compared with March 2020, it increased by 0.4%, and compared with April 2019, it increased by 5.1%.
In the private sector, compared to the first four months of 2019, the average gross salary increased by 8.8% to 206,323 drams. At the same time, in 2020 April, compared with March 2020, it increased by 4.3%, and compared with April 2019, by 12.8%. ($1 - 482.24 drams). --0--
