Acting on a tip from Armenia's National Security Service (NSS) the State Revenue Committee (SRC) has stopped an illegal foreign exchange trading by a citizen of Iran, who ran the illegal business in a Yerevan apartment.

YEREVAN, August 24. /ARKA/. Acting on a tip from Armenia's National Security Service (NSS) the State Revenue Committee (SRC) has stopped an illegal foreign exchange trading by a citizen of Iran, who ran the illegal business in a Yerevan apartment.

A test purchase conducted jointly by NSS and SRC officers revealed that the Iranian citizen acted without a license and registration with tax authorities. He was given 800 thousand drams to buy Iranian rials and to transfer them to an Iranian bank card .

The citizen of Iran identified as S. A. conducted purchase and sale of dollars, drams, Iranian rials, as well as made money transfers from Armenia to Iran.

The Iranian was accused of violating the Tax Code of Armenia. A report was drawn up and referred to the Investigative Committee for consideration of initiating criminal proceedings against the Iranian citizen.-0-
