YEREVAN, November 30. /ARKA/. Armenia’s state food safety agency addressed Tuesday economic entities selling fresh and frozen meat urging them to pay special attention to the sanitary, veterinary and hygienic requirements necessary for activity at the market.

“We remind you again that it is necessary to receive and sell meat and sub-products only with appropriate veterinary papers and with compliance with hygienic requirements,” the agency says in its press release.

It also says that trade outlets must be provided with natural and artificial ventilation as well as special conditions, systems for cleaning and disinfecting instruments, appropriate measuring and verifying devises and refrigerators.

Besides, every store clerk who touches meat and workmen who transport meat must be in special clothing and must observe hygienic rules. They ought to have personal health books.

Vehicles carrying meat must undergo sanitization every day. Meat for sale must undergo veterinary examination and must be marked.

The agency is calling on consumers to buy only meat products which have appropriate papers. --0---
