Armenia to be represented at Eurovision 2015 song contest by Armenian singers from all continents

Armenia will be represented at Eurovision Song Contest 2015 in Austria by six ethnic Armenian singers living on five continents and in Armenia itself. This decision was prompted by the centenary of the Armenian genocide to be marked on April 24 this year.

YEREVAN, February 11. / ARKA/ Armenia will be represented at Eurovision Song Contest 2015 in Austria by six ethnic Armenian singers living on five continents and in Armenia itself. This decision was prompted by the centenary of the Armenian genocide to be marked on April 24 this year. 

The six contestants will symbolize the emblem of the events commemorating the centenary - forget-me-not flower.

The name of the first person will be announced on February 16 by the Public Television of Armenia - the official broadcaster of the contest that conducts also domestic selection of singers. One of the participants will be from Australia. The song written for Armenian participants is tentatively called  "Do not deny"

The Eurovision-2015 will be held in the Austrian capital Vienna under the motto "Building Bridges".
Ukraine, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovakia, Turkey, Liechtenstein and Luxembourg have refused to take part in the competition for different reasons.

The semi-finals of the contest will be held on May 19 and 21 and the finale on May 23. Armenia will perform in the first semi-final.-0-
