YEREVAN, 19 December. /ARKA/. Armenian Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure David Khudatyan told a government session on Thursday that a total of AMD 31.8 billion will have been allocated by the government for implementation of subvention projects in the regions of the country.

‘This is more than AMD 1.5 billion more than last year’s funding,’ the minister said, noting that taking into account the share of communities, the overall sum of the projects exceeds AMD 50 billion.

In his turn, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan highlighted the importance of these investments and said that it is one of the most important tools for proportional development of the regions.

At the same time, Pashinyan said that the government's decision to reduce the number of official vehicles also concerns communities and threatened consequences if steps are not taken in this direction.

‘For those communities that do not want to go for it, appropriate consequences will follow, that is, there will be restrictions on subvention and other projects. In such a case, let the heads of communities with their residents sort out what is more important and prioritised,’ he said. ($1 - AMD 394.62).
