Armenian government establishes benefit for import of 2 thousand tons of butter
YEREVAN, December 19. /ARKA/. The Armenian government decided at a meeting on Thursday to introduce a tariff preference for butter imported from EEU member countries. The procedure for distributing imported butter, as well as the forms for one-time and main licenses, were also approved.
Earlier, the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC, the executive arm of EEU) Board decided to grant Armenia an exemption from import customs duties on butter imported into the country, with a limit of up to 2,000 tons.
"In order to ensure the implementation of the provisions of the decision adopted by the EEC Board, it is necessary to develop a procedure for distributing the volumes of butter imported into Armenia under the tariff preference among participants in foreign economic activity," the RA government decision states.
The tariff preference will apply from December 24, 2024, to June 15, 2025, inclusive.
