The average gross salary in Armenia in 2019, according to current statistics, increased by 5.8% compared to 2018, the National Statistics Committee (NSC) said.
YEREVAN, January 31. /ARKA/. The average gross salary in Armenia in 2019, according to current statistics, increased by 5.8% compared to 2018, the National Statistics Committee (NSC) said.
It said during the reporting period, the average gross salary was 182,750 drams. At the same time, in December 2019, compared with December 2018, the average salary grew by 5.4%, and compared with November - by 26.4%.
It is noteworthy that the average salary in the public sector during the reporting period increased more than in the private, although it could not overtake it in absolute terms.
So, in January-December 2019, the average gross salary in the public sector increased by 8.4% from the previous year to 161,789 drams. At the same time, in December 2019 compared to December 2018, it increased by 11.2%, and compared to November 2019 - by 41.8%.
In the private sector, in January-December 2019, compared to the same period in 2018, the average gross salary increased by 3.8% to 193,288 drams. At the same time, in December 2019, compared with December 2018, it increased by 2.4%, and compared with November 2019 - by 20.1%. ($1 - 478.69 drams). -0-
