Armenian-British scientific cooperation to reveal Armenia’s potential in science: Expert

Scientific cooperation between the science and innovation center at British embassy to Russia and Armenia’s National Academy of Sciences (NAS) will help reveal and use Armenia’s scientific potential, physical chemistry professor of London Imperial College, member of Royal Society of Chemistry Sergey Ghazaryan said at a round-table discussion at NAS Monday.

YEREVAN, June 24. /ARKA/. Scientific cooperation between the science and innovation center at British embassy to Russia and Armenia’s National Academy of Sciences (NAS) will help reveal and use Armenia’s scientific potential, physical chemistry professor of London Imperial College, member of Royal Society of Chemistry Sergey Ghazaryan said at a round-table discussion at NAS Monday.
Armenian physicists and chemists have a great potential; they are talented and their scientific approach may be useful, Ghazaryan said. The scientist also said Armenia students could arrive in Britain for training and fly back to Armenia with new experience.
The professor said he intends to cooperate with the science and technology center of organic and pharmaceutical chemistry at NAS.
After contacts are established between the countries, through the centre of science and innovations at the British embassy, funds may be attracted for scientific projects from the Royal Society of Chemistry and other European organizations, the scientist said.
Head of NAS Radik Martirossyan, in his turn, expressed hopes Armenia will be involved in cooperation with Great Britain. He also said if the recent innovations are successfully presented, the cooperation will continue and will produce results.–0—
