YEREVAN, October 22. /ARKA/. The Armenian Military Insurance Fund has launched a new initiative called 'Let's Make Two out of One' to increase donations in favor of the families of the soldiers who were killed in the hostilities,  went missing or became disabled, the head of the Fund  Varuzhan Avetikyan announced at a press briefing October 21.

“We have launched a new initiative called “Let's Make Two Out of One.' ”Within the framework of this initiative, each economic entity or entrepreneur operating in Armenia gets the opportunity to double the monthly payments of 1000 drams (about $2) contributed by an employee to the Military Insurance Fund,'  he said.

According to Avetikyan, if everyone joins this initiative, it will be possible to increase the $15 million collected last year to $30 million.

The head of Hayastan All-Armenian Fund Haykak Arshamyan, in turn, said that his Fund joins the initiative and will double the monthly payments of its employees to the Military Insurance Fund.

Avetikyan stressed that the Fund has already collected 30 billion drams (about $60 million), which will be fully allocated to the families of servicemen who died or became disabled in this war.

'At the moment, it is extremely important that our compatriots, both in Armenia and the Diaspora, make donations to the Fund, because, unfortunately, the war has not ended yet. One day it will end, it will definitely end with our victory, and until that day those who are on the border, our servicemen must be sure that their families are financially secure," he said.

He stated that compensation will also be provided to the families of the missing servicemen. According to him, the family of each serviceman is provided from 58 million drams to 82 million drams (from $120 thousand to $160 thousand).
To make donations, one can go to the 1000plus.am website, enter their bank card details both for one-time or monthly donations. Donations can be made also as bank transfers.

Earlier on Wednesday, the press secretary of the Armenian Defense Ministry Shushan Stepanyan said that over three weeks, Armenian compatriots from 60 countries donated $4.5 million to the Military Insurance Fund. -0-
