YEREVAN, February 13. /ARKA/. Armenia’s foreign ministry said today it was clarifying the circumstances of the death of an Armenian citizen in Sweden. A spokesman for the ministry Tigran Balayan said Armenian diplomats in Sweden were in contact with the Swedish authorities in order to clarify all the circumstances concerning the death of the Armenian citizen.
According to 1in.am, the 32-year-old Armenian citizen, identified as David Barseghyan, died the other day in Sweden, where he was with friends as a tourist. As stated by his friends, on February 6 when in Orebro town David Barseghyan felt unwell. Two of his friends decided to take him by car to the hospital, but their path was blocked by police who ordered them to get out of the car.
"Right in front of the police officers Barseghyan lost consciousness and fell to the ground, then struggled to his feet. The friends tried to convince the police officers to call ambulance, but to no avail. The police officers did not allow the friends to even help Barseghyan, grabbed him by the arm and took to a police detention center.
