YEREVAN, December 2. /ARKA/. The Armenian government is removing the ban on rallies and a number of other restrictions in force during the martial law, Eduard Aghajanyan, the head of the prime minister’s administration, said in a Facebook post today.

He said the decision will be unveiled later today. The ban was introduced on September 27 after Azerbaijani-Turkish massive attack against Nagorno-Karabakh.

According to Aghajanyan, the government will lift also a special entry and exit regime and the restrictions on publications.
Earlier, on November 27, the administrative court removed the ban on holding rallies under martial law.

A day earlier, on November 26, the National Assembly voted against the adoption of a bill motioned by the opposition Bright Armenia party to lift the martial law.

Armenian opposition parties have been holding protests in Yerevan since November 10 demanding that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and his government step down.

They accuse Pashinyan of surrendering Nagorno-Karabakh to Azerbaijan by signing a statement November 9 with the leaders of Russia and Azerbaijan to stop the war in Nagorno-Karabakh. -0-
