Armenian government to set size of extra payments to Foreign Intelligence Service employees

YEREVAN, November 9. /ARKA/. Under a decision approved today by the government of Armenia, employees of the Foreign Intelligence Service will receive extra payments in addition to their regular salaries.
The size of extra payments will be set by the government based on ' the peculiarities as well as specifics of their service,' more specifically, on the nature of the tasks assigned to them.'
These payments will be made simultaneously with the salaries. The government said this decision is justified by the need to ensure effective fulfillment of the tasks faced by the Foreign Intelligence Service.
Also, high responsibility, high-stress nature of work, the degree of risk and other factors that make their work less attractive were taken into account.
As noted in the government decision, the establishment of appropriate extra-payments is necessary to attract qualified personnel.
In early October, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan appointed former Human Rights Defender Kristine Grigoryan as head of the Foreign Intelligence Service. --0--
