Armenian investigator decides to detain retired general’s wife

Armenia’s Special Investigation Service said one of its investigators has decided to detain Nazik Amiryan, the wife of retired general and MP Manvel Grigoryan, however, the day when she will be detained is not clear yet.
YEREVAN, June 25. /ARKA/. Armenia’s Special Investigation Service said one of its investigators has decided to detain Nazik Amiryan, the wife of retired general and MP Manvel Grigoryan, however, the day when she will be detained is not clear yet.
On June 19, Armenian Police detained several trucks transporting around 3000 cans of beef stew, meant for Armenian army soldiers. According to the drivers, the cans were loaded from a building owned by the Yerkrapah Union of Karabakh War Volunteers at the order of Nazik Amiryan.
Manvel Grigoryan was detained by the National Security Service in his hometown of Etchmiadzin on June 16 after security forces raided his homes in Etchmiadzin and a nearby village finding illegally acquired weapons and stockpiles of food and other supplies, including anti-tank guns and rocket-propelled grenades, meant for the armed forces. On June 19 the parliament stripped him of parliamentary immunity allowing his prosecution. -0-
