Armenian ministry of health received a grant of $170,000 to improve the quality of screening surveys, health minister Levon Altunyan said at a press conference on Friday.
YEREVAN, October 6. /ARKA/. Armenian ministry of health received a grant of $170,000 to improve the quality of screening surveys, health minister Levon Altunyan said at a press conference on Friday.
"The quality of screening surveys leaves much to be desired. We are taking a number of steps in this direction, for example, trainings with foreign companies and we are also preparing to organize public hearings to inform the public about the importance of screening surveys," Altunyan said.
"Thanks to screening, we identify diseases in the early stages, prevent serious non-communicable diseases," he added. The screening program was adopted in Armenia in 2015. -0----
