YEREVAN, January 29. /ARKA/. The Armenian Prosecutor General's Office sent today to court the file of a criminal case with former president Serzh Sargsyan among the persons involved in it, Novosti-Armenia reports referring to Arevik Khachyatryan, press secretary of the prosecutor general's office.

The criminal case had been opened over embezzlement of state assets totaling more than $1 million.
Arevik Khachatryan said that Sergo Karapetyan, former agriculture minister, is accused of pocketing state-owned funds.

Other persons involved in the criminal case are Barsegh Beglaryan, owner of Flash LLC, Samvel Galstyan, former deputy agriculture minister, and Gevorg Harutyunyan, the chief of the ministry's division in charge of seed breeding, along with Serzh Sargsyan, are accused of complicity in gross asset embezzlement.
